HN Group A/S takes responsibility and increases the number of apprentices.

“We have to consider what makes young people choose a particular education,” says Production Manager Steen Nielsen.

HN Group A/S has participated actively in the training of apprentices for a number of years, and after their training many of them are now employed in-house. HN Group A/S mainly has apprentices training to be plastics engineers and toolmakers, and in August we will increase the number of in-house apprentices.

“We have to consider what makes young people choose a specific education and what their expectations are for the individual company and the industry,” says Production Manager Steen Nielsen.
HN Group A/S currently has 77 employees, 5 of whom are apprentices in training, and we will increase that number – partly to create an excellent environment in the company for training, and partly to contribute actively to continuing to bring in skilled labour from the local area.

“In connection with recruitment, we would prefer that our future apprentices have been in shorter or longer work experience placements and/or worked after school hours in our company, to get a better sense of the profession and what is expected. This provides a better matching of expectations and a higher success rate for the training programme,” continues Steen Nielsen.
